Why are the Valid From & Valid To dates in Calendar Management in Alma different?

In Alma, under Fulfillment, Advanced Tools - General, Opening Hours, when you edit either the Standard Opening Hours or Exceptions, the Valid To/From dates are updated as Valid from the date of the change and Valid To three years from the change date.

The Standard Opening Hours were set prior to/soon after GoLive so the Valid from date will be around that time and generally not often changed.  The Exceptions will be updated for various holidays or temporary schedule changes for exam week, spring break, summer schedules, etc,.
